2026 Camp Oakes
The West End YMCA is excited to partner with the YMCA of Greater Long Beach to deliver an unforgettable week of summer resident camp at YMCA Camp Oakes from June 14–20, 2026.
For many years, this special week at Camp Oakes has been a cherished tradition for families in the West End YMCA community. In 2026, the YMCA of Greater Long Beach will oversee the full camp operations—including staffing, program delivery, transportation, and safety—while working closely with the West End YMCA to honor the traditions and culture that have made this week so meaningful to our campers.
The West End YMCA will continue to support this experience by leading community outreach, marketing, and financial assistance scholarships to ensure that as many youth as possible can participate in this life-changing opportunity.
Together, our Ys are committed to providing a safe, fun, and impactful camp experience that helps youth build confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships—while preserving the legacy of the West End YMCA’s long-standing Camp Oakes tradition.
